I expected something different, and honestly what Annihilation turned out to be was way better. It's an unsettling movie, that leaves you not quite the same as when you went into it, much like the teams who entered the shimmer. But just after seeing it I'm left thinking how I cant wait to watch that again. It was such a trip, a gorgeous movie and very intelligent. Alex Garland does another amazing job following up Ex Machina and his next work should be something to look forward to.
