While I will admit Ben Platt looks ridiculous at times and the story has its fair share of issues, this adaptation of the broadway show is about as good as it could possibly be. The performances are stellar across the board, the music is still great (especially the new songs), and I found the telling of the story to never be dull. Would definitely recommend!

Reminds me a lot of going on a ride at Disney…it’s fun and action packed, but its storyline is cheesy and contrived. However unlike a ride that lasts 5 minutes, this is over 2 hours, so it gets stale after awhile. I loved the settings and imagery, but the characters are pretty flat and the plot is a mess.
