The Golden Compass is brilliant, so why can we have the sequel? Everyone is allowed to have an imagination and since loads of fantasy films have sequels, why not this one? There is more and more new fantasy films suited for many people - what one person dislikes another will think it fantastic. I consider the Golden Compass as one of my favorite films and hope that someone somewhere is brave enough to do the sequel!!
