Ignore the critics because it every article I read has started out comparing it to the office, it is it's own show and once you see it for that it comes out to be a pretty well written show with it's own moments. If Greg and Steve wanted to write another "The Office" they would have just rebooted the series which so many people call for. Give it a shot and ignore the critic's (which are usually wrong about everything anyways).
