Love, love this movie!
Just curious, isn't this storyline VERY / VERY similar to the 2008 movie "Red" featuring Brian Cox?
Man receives dog from wife.
Wife is dead.
Three thugs brutally kill dog while owner is helpless to save it.
Thugs led by sociopathic son of a rich, powerful, amoral father.
Too many rules and law, man can't get justice.
Man goes after thugs.
Eventually, father and thugs all shot to death.
Man gets new dog.
End of movie, new dog doesn't have a name.
