I don't know who put this limited series together, but it fell flat for me. Not quite "The Light in Your Eyes" or "Sweet Home," but close. The editing is choppy and weird. K-dramas end on unresolved notes in general, but this was ridiculous. (Unless there's gonna be a sequel.) The writing is derivative and cringe. The acting is underwhelming, self-conscious, and out of context, with only a handful of veterans trying to save a sinking ship in the acting of their lives — in a vacuum. Felt more like a series of auditions, than a rom-com drama. If I were the actress portraying the lead male's ambassador mom, I'd be furious. She's cut out of a huge portion of the meaty scenes, including the critical one in the last episode. Just cut out. Don't tell her story if you're not going to do it justice. I don't even understand her dinner with the boss, where he tells her she has to retire. What was that about?! The chemistry was also forced, awkward, cold and sterile at times, and just plain mis-matched. Only the side character, the paramedic, got a kiss. Not even the leads! The plot twist came out of nowhere, backed up by nothing. See derivative writing. If you can't believe good actors can be in bad shows, watch this drama. UPDATE: Just found out there are supposed to be more episodes. So that makes sense that the last one viewed ended abruptly. Let's see if they can pull a rabbit out of a hat.

I went in thinking this was a time travel sci-fi with a bit of rom-com. It's the total opposite, plus it's bad...an emotional snuff limited series. I feel gypped. The old lady was miscast or I'm a jerk, because she was annoying, pointless & creepily one-note. I kept wanting the young female lead to rewind the watch & live her life. So misleading. Unrewarding downer of a k drama Also, the writing/dialogue is pedestrian, downright awful in parts. Much of the acting, though moving, seemed forced with zero chemistry amongst the main family. But that was the whole point. Still, had I known the kicker, I would've passed. When I found out what the young, single mom did to her handicapped child, I was thoroughly disgusted with her. No excuse. I did appreciate the message & the OTHER older actors.

Unlikeable, shallow characters, one creepy. Fast paced, witty at times. Reply 1988 is the best in the anthology.

Bad K-drama shows are rare but they can occur. They anger me so much. They're a waste of my time & energy. They also scare me because... What if the next k-drama sucks? I am less likely to want to risk my viewership. "Sweet Home," both seasons, stole the gratification I derived from previous, good k-dramas & did a disservice to those who knew what they were doing in successful webtoon adaptations ("Death's Game," "Uncanny Counter") & other series. There is ZERO character development, ZERO chemistry, ZERO plot, ZERO compelling interest, ZERO reason to care, ZERO backstory, save for two main characters. I don't care about anybody. Characters go through the motions with mostly expressionless faces & monotone delivery. They don't even react when they first see monsters. Are they even human? The monsters show more emotion. That female firefighter was the worst. I felt ill just being forced to watch her take up space. A mannequin could act better. Go watch "When the Camellia Blooms" for how to feature an ensemble cast that creates a community out of nothing. Give us something to warm to. Even the monsters get the shaft. I don't get to see enough of them & they look like cheap special effects from Ultra Man times. Not even award-winning actor Oh Jung-se can saved this show. The people who made "Sweet Home" should be ashamed of themselves. -signed, someone who never read the manga

Speaking of Valley Girl, one of the moteliers looks kinda like Julie in the 1980s movie.

Written for A.I. generation w/too much shorthand techno babble, as if we're supposed to read minds. Slow-to-warm characters who work too hard for chemistry. Chemistry & understandable, relatable storytelling are essential & missing. Typical of this generation's pop culture.

Mark Rylance is PHENOMENAL. WHO CARES what the movie's about when he's in it? Loved the twist after twist. Played like a three-act O. Henry short story.

Cold, unrootable characters. Plot-driven drivel. Amateurish cartoon CGI. Need more dinosaurs. Zzzzz.

Horrible. Zero chemistry. Mumbling dialogue. Bad acting. No resolution.
