Having read the books and enjoyed every one, the film did not live up to my expectations. The casting was a disappointment - and whoever's idea it was to completely change the character of commander root, it was a complete failure! the story was not loyal to the books and didn't do them justice at all - it is hard to believe that eoin colfer will be pleased with how the film turned out - it could have been a fantastic movie, instead it was an utter shame.
