Christian Bale is astonishing as Dick Cheney, but the movie has limited entertainment value because there’s no real story arc. Cheney for all his dubious political deeds never gets his due. There is no real climax or resolution in ambiguous wars, political and otherwise. Cheney goes on to live another day on a borrowed heart, one the movie implies, stole from America. I laughed some and shook my head a lot, but walking out of the theatre I just felt more jaded.
