The amount of information this movie throws at you is metaphorical to the generic western mind getting bewildered by the complexity of a Middle Eastern Conflict. There are no Black or White regions, only grey. Clooney's performance is harrowingly real and shows an actant who isn't morally compromised. Just like Traffic(2000), Gaghan has once again masterfully woven a web of War, Business, People and LIES. I'll advise the viewer to listen to every word as Syriana only shows you the tip of the iceberg while underneath lie the cold stings of a never-ending conflict.

A perfectly immersive Dystopian Odyssey. Cuarón makes you clutch the edge of your seat with signature astounding no-cut shots! This masterpiece hits you with different emotions, sometimes with fear, sometimes with catastrophic sorrow and surprisingly, sometimes with HOPE. Sadly, the depicted geopolitical turmoil still resonates 19 years later, even stronger than before. But the closing act’s glimmer in the darkness leaves you with a lingering sense of sombre optimism.
