Hard to watch but chilling, rather like any satire about the ugliness and corruption of humankind. Having lived in Zimbabwe, I recognised the depiction of a totally authoritarian regime without the intelligence to actually govern. And the power of the brute, the toadies leeching the situation and the suffering of the average citizen. Winslett was superb as a kind of Eva Peron but actually slightly insane. I liked that it was dark to the end. Believable
