If I had never read the books, nor watched the 1970s version, I would like this a lot more. The new version lacks the chemistry and heart of both.
I love the entire cast of the new show, so was really excited to see it, but after seeing the first two episodes, I'm out. I'm not sure if it's poor scripts, or direction, but it fails to capture the magic of these books, which the 1970s version did so very well.
