Now, I'm only a couple of hours in but I feel like I've read more dialogue than actually played the game. It doesn't feel handholdy like Sword and Shield but it feels like I'm playing an interactive movie. I'll start an adventure but then the game will make me stop to play the main story, go back to a different area, sit through too much dialogue, then tell me to go do different tasks for a whole bunch of people while I just want to go out an explore. This game isn't supposed to be like BotW but the way it was advertised kinda made it look that way with the open world and crafting. I feel like I was promised an adventure but instead I'm playing through someone else's that already happened.
For example: Every BotW 2 trailer looks fantastic and promises an open world experience. But then the game releases and it's like Skyward Sword.
That's the kind of experience I'm getting from this game. There is just too much dialogue and even if it gets better, it doesn't excuse the fact that this opening tutorial (?) is just way too long.
