Honestly, it isn’t my favorite genre of show – competition show that is. When it comes to competition shows I typically prefer baking and cooking competitions because there seems to be something far less catty and more honest about the art of judging food than there is with a group of people judging vacation rentals. Now, I love shows about vacation rentals, travel, and interior design in general…but I draw the line at people being vicious and catty with each other for little than to drum up drama for production value. Personally, I liked watching Netflix’s Stay Here far more than I have liked Instant Hotel. Now, mind you I do love the show “the great interior design challenge”, but to me it falls into the same bracket of challenge shows that food and baking competition shows do.
