I was watching TCM and can't help but wonder why the people there at TCM have to view everything through the PC lense of today's "enlightened" few. Wayne's character survived a war he didn't start, saw his only family murdered and as far as the movie is concerned never had any slaves. Yet he is a racist because he hates the people that murdered his family? The fact that he already hates Indians may be that he has seen them in action before. His talk of them during the movie certainly indicates familiarity. I guess the PC attitude just really gets me riled up. There is no need for it. This crowd is just too busy pointing out the imperfections of others they neither understand or even care to know. All the rest of us can only hope to be as perfect one day. The movie on the other hand is nearly perfect as it is.
