Loved it. I'm no expert. I'm not a big fan of the shaky first person camera thing, but this works. I don't like big space alien monster type things either, but I like this movie. It began to wear on me a little though at about midway through and I looked to see how much time was left and surprisingly I was way past half way through the movie and it rapidly picked back up and was over! So, I call it a win when I'm engaged enough to lose track of time. It's not my favorite movie type, but it was engaging and fast moving and actually had a point.

No matter what I try to say about this series....I come back to the fact that none of it's positives matter. Why? Because it is absolutely the most irritating thing that you will ever watch, if you live to be 1,000. Season 2 is beyond bad. The story, like the main character, jumps around and flails like a wounded animal that needs to be put out of it's misery. It's nearly unwatchable. It grates on you ever millisecond that you watch it. No idea, no thought process, no conversation, NOTHING is ever finished before a flashback, a twist to a different part of the story, or an obnoxious custom phone ring alert starts playing....the phone thing happens at least 100,000 times an episode. Watching this to the end is akin to CIA torture rooms where they subject people to acid rock, or happy birthday playing for 100 hours straight while being dunked into an icebath and red hot needles rammed underneath your finger nails. Seriously, I've hated no other cinematic experience but this one. It's absolutely the most grating thing, like fingernails on a chalkboard. Despite that, the story and the characters and the acting are good. The manner that the story is told is horrendous. Again, seriously, it does have enough to it that I put up with the torture of watching it just to get to the end of the story....I'm 1.5 episodes away from freedom. Wish me luck that I escape this hell alive....update. I made it. Series over. They can't possibly follow up on this with a Season 3. Nothing could follow this. No one could possibly be stupid enough to subject themselves to more of this torture.

This movie is terrible. I had to fast forward through it. SPOILER ALERT - sadly the shark doesn't eat them in the end. It should have. Then this film would have one redeeming quality. I honestly can't believe that anyone would or even could make a movie this bad. The writing is ridculously implausible and the acting is worse. There's usually something worthwhile in any film, but I'll be damned if I know what it could possibly be with this one.

This movie has almost no redeeming qualities. It starts in the middle of a story and meanders all over trying to find a something with which to grab the audience, and fails. It's 5 minute story that drags on forever. After about 45 minutes you would swear that you've been held hostage for hours but you're only half way through the movie. Thankfully it ends. I felt like cheering, not because one of the bad guys becomes a good guy and does the right thing in the end. Not because there is a moral to the story, to never give up, that there are things worth dying for and there are things worse than death. I felt like cheering because I was finally free too. I give it two stars because it did have a point, but just couldn't do it and changed to one star. Please spare yourself and watch something else. This is the worst movie I've watched in decades. If you have to watch something, stare at a blank wall for 2 hours. That will be leaps and bounds more entertaining.

I'm one of like 3 people left that hadn't watched this movie. It should have stayed that way. This movie is terrible and nearly unwatchable. It gets 2 Stars because the premise of the movie is good, but the execution is terrible. This premise of the movie is appealing to intellectuals and people in general who think outside the box, or at least think. The execution of the movie appeals to teenage boys and adults with an IQ of 80. It would take a herculean effort to take such a thought provoking premise and do a worse job building out and telling the story. It took me 3 separate attempts to finally finish the movie. From any perspective it's awful.

If you are into monster movies, it's a decent movie. In fact, the monster parts are quite good, it's just the movie itself that's terrible. It's great CGI and not much else. The plot isn't much and the entire story is about as thin as meat off the deli slicer. Essentially, it comes across that some CGI guys created great monsters, fighting scenes and landscapes and later some corporate type guys spent an afternoon coming up with a really weak story and subplots that are so irrelevant as to be nonexistent, to fill in around the monsters. They then went back to their yachts and helicopters while $15 an hour staff people executed their grand vision. They even threw in a cute 17 year old and her stupid friend to add another 20 minutes of fluff. Fluff? Why yes, that's the best description of characters that have no purpose in the story, even a story as disjointed an undeveloped as this one. Great monsters and an hour plus of fluff. It's one of the best terrible movies I've seen in some time.
