Why do we go to the cinema.To be entertained and a chance to escape this crazy world happenings and bad news for a couple of hours.This film does not let you down from start to finish.Ok so Gerrard may never win a oscar for his films but what he achieves is to entertain you thoroughly from start to finish with a great supporting cast and tremendous action scenes.With some of the rubbish films that have been on at our local cinema this was such a refreshing change. One sad note to me is that I have been married to an airline avionics engineer for many years and so I have to sit through a post mortem of all the technical mistakes in any film that involves aircraft.I literally had to tell him to shut up on the drive home and told him to consider the film as a whole.This is a great film that I could easily watch again soon

36 years ago my husband and I went to the cinema to see the original TG.This was the one and only time that we have ever sat in separated seating as a couple as those were the only seats available. I was quite happy as I was surrounded by air crews from the 4 large Air force bases near the city of Lincoln..The downside was there was running commentary re the flying scenes and technical stuff.Now we return to yesterday ,it was as if we had been in a time capsule for some 4 decades.What a film.Full honours to TC and his youthful cast for giving us 2 hours of sheer delight and nostalgia from the music to the magnificent flying sequences and then Lady Gaga wonderful track at the closing credits.This is a film made for the big screen and I commend TC for delaying the cinema release.TC is a master of his craft and never fails to give 100%. Thank you Tom.

Well ,to all the reviewers who ripped this film apart,the non paying audience in particular,I would just like to say that my husband and I who saw it this afternoon thoroughly enjoyed it.Yes the film has it's faults like Matt Damon's dodgy haircut but it is still a very watchable film.Beautifully filmed with great battle and action scenes .This is a Ridley Scott film of the genre we know and love.Adam Driver is great and Jodie just gets better and better.It also leaves the audience open to discussion as to who was telling the truth.We heard several debates when leaving the auditorium.Please see it for yourselves,you will not be sorry.

After being away from the cinema for 20 months we chose this film to be our first on return and it certainly didn't disappoint.Quite simply it was superb from start to finish,with plots and subplots,little anecdotes and wonderful locations and stunts.All of the cast made this a great film but let's face it ,it really belongs to Daniel Craig and what a way to bow out from the franchise.Thank you to all involved in making this good old fashioned rollercoaster a film to be so proud of.Finally the best Bond theme ever played over the final scenes and rolling credits really did make me cry.Please watch it on the big screen, it deserves it.

As a 72 year old young at heart female,I absolutely loved this film.I think I watched a short programme by James May some years ago re the format of the story.Visually it's superb and very thrilling.The loving friendship and trust between Matt Damon and Christian Bale is heartrendering.Similarly Christian Bale,his wife and amazing son.Was it really all those years ago that we saw a very young Christian in Empire of the Sun! I really hope that this film gets the recognition it truly deserves during the upcoming award season. I loved it.

Saw this today with my Hubbie.We tossed between this and Le mans 66,which to see first.I won and I'm so glad we did.A large latte and a huge mince pie was a great starter to this film.Its not a great film but a lush sentimental couple of hours which leaves you smiling and using tissues at the same time.Well what can I say about George Michael's music.Such a huge talent greatly missed.The whole cast fitted their roles.Several reviews mention the underlying Brexit topic but we didn't find it so.Im trying not to give away the twist in the plot but it's beautifully handled.What can I say about Henry Golding.Watch this actor,he would make a great 007.See this film and decide for yourself.I think it will quietly grow on audiences and deservedly so

First of all I'm a real cinema fan who actually pays at the box office.So my review of this film is quite simple.Renee gives a performance of a lifetime, showing Judy at a time of her life when all was not well.She is determined and so vulnerable at the same time.The costumes are a delightful reminder of 1968.My goodness I've never seen so many clip on earrings.I completly lost it over the slice of gateau scene and the end sequence is spell binding. This lady had such talent and the film makes a trio,Freddie ,Elton,and now Judy.It would be a miracle next year at the Oscars to see Taron and Renee do the double.They both played icons and sang their hearts out.When I left the cinema and bought the film soundtrack CD album. Overall ,when there is so much c___p being made for cinema audiences,this film is so refreshingly honest and used actors with great talent.
