In essence, this film edit defined a generation of fans editing and collaborating with copyrighted material to make what they felt was a definitive improvement. Some can argue otherwise, but I for one would call it an improvement on the singular basis that Jar Jar's voice has been turned down. I've never resented the actor but the choice to have his volume obnoxiously higher than everyone else is just so jarring from the feature, IMO.
