Hi
After watching the program this morning I am disappointed with your commentary about corona virus. Several times Monique you stated that people don't know what to do - yes they do - they wash their hands regularly, if they have symptoms they go and get tested - hospitals have clinics and we in Cairns have clinics for testing. Check with the hospitals or your doctor - don't go but phone. As for the contractor who has corona - he is a contractor and as such he should balance his income with the jobs - as with any casual or part time worker - if really is up to him to balance his budget. You don't have to sensationalise any more than need be - today you seem more than ever to beat up the virus and complain about businesses closing, events being shut down etc. This is much better than spreading the virus to more people. We as a small tourism business in Palm Cove are feeling it too as are so many other places. No tourists no money - it affects us all.We are all feeling the absence of tourists up here and you are not helping by making all these comments you are scaring the public into panic shopping etc- you need to make a fair and reasonable commentary on what is happening. People can still holiday but holiday at home within Australia - the virus will not survive in temperatures above 26 degrees - the tropical north is actually a safe place to visit - perhaps not in the next week but in the foreseeable future. Is there any other news other than corona? Surely you have a good news story!
