The words legacy, immortal and safe....will never be the same after this movie. This isn’t just another black film. This is a film of love, tragedy, emotion, and strength. I fell in love with these characters as if they were my brother and sister. This thought provoking love story brought tears to my eyes. The play on the everyday fear of a black men and woman in America would seem triggering for some but with the movie and the direction it took gave you a new sense of hope. Queen and Slim, Ernest and Angela...the black Bonnie and Clyde. I ll never forget the feelings I had while watching this beautiful art work. Understanding the anger and sadness of each individual character. Understanding just how junior felt during the protest. “I wanna be immortal too.” That quote still echos in my mental walls. There’s so much I can type but I will end up giving up to much of the movie. Go see this. I promise you...you’ll feel it
