Outstanding. A poignant realistic story of a marriage. Salute to Mammootty for taking up a role like this at this stage of his career. He has really moved with times, with different roles and covering unchartered territories, unlike Bollywood stars. Jyotika essays the role with dignity and class. Must watch.

The film has been made solely for awards. While Aalia is competent, the other characters steal the show - Seema Bhargava, Vijay Raaz and Shantanu. A pity that the Vijay Raaz track on Razia wasn't developed fully enough. Somewhere the film is caught in a time warp, the situational drama seems contrite and doesn't do complete justice to Gangubai the activist.

A very different script and deft direction gives us an edgy thriller which opens layer by layer with unexpected twists. Both Parineeti and Arjun shine and remain true to their characters. Neena Gupta and Raghubir Yadav are delightful. Worth a repeat watch.
