It was pretty good. Not as great as the first film, obviously. Denzel was NOT the right actor for this film. He doesn't really portray a believable character. He's too confident and in control the entire movie; just doesn't play a good antagonist. Good fight scenes. The flooded colosseum boat battle was out there but pretty entertaining. I liked how girly, spoiled and childish the two emperors were. Their makeup was way over the top though. No language and no raunchy secs scenes was a nice touch that I appreciated. The ending was pretty bad and not well thought out if you ask me. I wonder what Glad3 will look like?

It was great. Not for everyone admittedly. If the trailer looks good, go watch it. Loud motors, outrageous costumes and cultures, women being treated like cattle, weird characters, insane and inventive chase scenes literally almost the entire time, etc. It never goes over the top on any one facet, which I love. No nudie love scenes, no outrageous gore, no gritty clench your teeth kinda moments, no mushy lovey dovey romance, and NO forced comedy. None! It does a great job at telling a story and taking you on a wild ride in a lawless future full of selfish, brutal, desperate human beings trying to survive with next to nothing. And the acting was spot on. Amazing movie.

I didn't really care for the film. They spent way too much time trying to tear jerk when they should have been blasting baddies. And they were shooting bad guys the whole time, but spared certain ones here and there because "We are the guardians of the galaxy". The big f-bomb wasn't necessary. Quill was way too emotional. They were trying to label everybody the whole time: "You aren't a destroyer. You were born to be a dad." Puke. Comeon, it's a superhero movie. Gillan gained a bunch of weight, so she didn't even look like a superhero anymore. This wasn't the movie I expected to see.
