There are two ways one can view this movie. 1) The songs were very catchy and overpower the rest of the movie. As a fan of musicals and musical theatre, I greatly enjoyed the songs. 2) 'Cats' is... beyond comprehension. It is terrible. Its a visual nightmare. It is the audio and visual of a cat throwing up with catchy songs tossed in. It is not something that can be explained in words and must be seen in order to really believe and understand. This is a fever dream high on opium and drenched in meth. The horror felt after it's over is indescribable. The horniness of this movie was greatly unnecessary, yet I could not escape it. Any review you've read cannot prepare you for what you will witness sitting in a dark theater for 109 minutes. I would absolutely recommend watching this movie. Watch with another person and wait at least an hour before either of you drive yourselves home.
