Went to see SPENCER with an open mind not being a Royalist or a anti-royalist for that matter and found that within the 1st 5 minutes the macabre classical music began to set the tone of a very slow and painful depiction of the Diana Spencer story.
Portraying her personality as an indulgent attention seeking petulant child was so obviously painted in a light not sympathetic to her situation and state of mind that there was no justice done to any character in the cast.
There were so many contradictions it’s hard to know where to begin?
I found 2% of the events in this drama believable and after being so spoilt with great natural acting & well researched weaving of history embedded into THE CROWN shown on Netflix it was hard not to come out of the cinema experience not wanting one’s money back.
One star is generous.
