I watched the movie right after reading the book. When they say the movie is based on the book, they mean loosely based. There were many rich parts of the book that didn't make it onto the movie, like Natasha's relationship with her Dad. Samuel Kingsley's acting wasn't debuted. The movie had a lot of kissing, which makes sense for a romantic film, but there wasn't a lot of dialogue. The movie was also hard to try to believe. I will say though that the music choices were cool. I never heard the song "Crimson and Clover" but now I think it's a sweet song!
