It starts out kinda cringeworthy - just rich people and their first world problems but then as the movie progresses Bernadette is revealed to be complex. The connection to her daughter is especially beautiful. She has redeeming qualities. While the ending is predictable, the scenes of the snow and the wildlife are fantastic.
