This is my all time favourite novel. It very beautiful portrays the life of people during the Victorian era. The characters are very interesting and very distinct from one another. It captures the minute details of each and every character, emotion, how hatred turns into love. I gradually fell in love with the characters which I hated in the beginning. I couldn't resist falling in love with the character of Darcy. Elizabeth is such a strong character whom every girl wants to be. I am missing reading about Darcy and Elizy after completing the book. I wish I could reread the book. Movie is equally good. I would suggest to read the novel before watching the movie.

It's one of the greatest literary works which beautifully depicts the African native culture and the effect of the colonialism. It gives a clear picture of how the things which held the African culture and people together, and the values fell apart. It a very heart touching novel
