This is just another tired worn out sci-fi movie formula where hostile extraterrestrials threaten to destroy Earth and all humans… yadda, yadda, yadda. We’ve all seen this movie before. Of course, the humans employ at last minute a super-weapon and save the day, which is the Q-bomb, a horrific munition about the size of a Pringles tin and looks like something a 3rd-grader with a handful of electronic components put together. The movie otherwise has some decent special effects and visual sights (as least what I could see on my iPhone) but overall it delivers zero imagination or suspense. The script is a bunch of stitched together one-liners with a rushed plot that denies the movie any sort of adequate development. And Hollywood keeps crying about “intellectual property”? When’s the last time they had a new original idea for a movie? My 14 year-old writes better story lines than this.
