Don’t pay attention to the paid critics. This movie is a must watch! The focus of this film is not the “predictable plot” or so called “cliche characters” as the New York Times review described it but the development of characters and life lessons, karma if you will, that does not discriminate. The drag queen did not give singing lessons to a disabled cop but helps out a discriminative, hate-filled macho who has to much pride and self-pity to see a therapist. The NY Times review has missed all points that made this film so human so true.
