As a movie, it was pretty cool, but as a long-term fan of the comics, I was a little let down by how different the movie characterizations were from the source material. The movie also suffered a bit in the pacing department, with awesome action sequences punctuating a LOT of long, expository scenes. Granted, there are a lot of characters to introduce, and that much is done well, but it feels a bit uneven. Overall, not bad at all, but not really what I was hoping for as a big fan of the books.
