8 episodes was way too many. They should have cut the highly repetitive and frantic drinking montages, pared way back on the childhood flashbacks, and cut an underdeveloped side character or two. The main character, Cassie, is SO unlikeable that it makes the series hard to watch and I thought her acting was solid but pretty one-note and lacking nuance. I got annoyed watching how little the writers even tried to make things realistic or reasonable (just know that for weeks the FBI can hardly get so much as a finger print from the crime scene while an alcoholic flight attendant manages to solve the murder, unravel an international crime ring, confront childhood trauma, hook up several times, and pop over to Europe for a quick work trip.)
Watchable if you need decent enough content and great production value... but does not live up to the hype.
