I gave this movie a 3/5 for multiple reasons. SPOILERS ALERT!
Generally speaking I really like the movie. it has this "escape the current world" feature.
But, I do think there were many wrong things we can highlight:
- like the re-incarnation part of Steve Trevor, like man, I am happy that my life and death are not a wish of someone. also there must be other people who wished for loved ones to come back can you imagine how chaotic that might be, but apparently to the writers only Diana wished for this.
- Also when Kristen Wig was defending herself against the rapist and the movie represented her as evil!!! if you want to condemn her violence and at the same time address an anti-harassment message, you should have done it in a better way.
- Also in the end we didn't clearly see Kristen renouncing her wish which gives her the possibility for a sequence but also we saw her change of look in the end so where does that leave us ?
- Also the aspect of "accident meetings" happening throughout the movie is unrealistic. like Trevor appearing in the gala, the kid coming to his father in the end, and the guy in whom Trevor incarnated also coming to Diana in the end.
- The Gold unbreakable shield that was broken in 5 mins during the fight between Diana and Cheetah.
- This is a personal opinion but I feel like the movie and Diana had so much potentials that weren't used and at the same time they tried to show off most of Diana powers but with lack of action.
In the end the movie was worth watching and I really enjoyed it and I hope the next sequels would be even better.
