I found this movie to be very disturbing. Even with the evidence of Luce's pathological behavior his mother Naomi Watts protects him anyway out of her desperate need to keep his love. She even went as far to give her husband Tim Roth an covert ultamatum to go along with her or lose his family. Her lack of conscience is scary. Makes you wonder how many other pathological young people are given a pass by their parents because keeping the family unit intact is more important than keeping the general population safe.
