This is the most morbidly obscene 'coming of age' teenage angst ridden film i've ever seen. Obscene, to define in lack of a better term, extreme.
You dont need to intertwine suicide, criminal prosecution, mental illness, and politics through this odly strange alegorically mysterious illness that causes (coincidentally) SENIORS to explode into a bloody pulp.
If you're under 20, and are needing some type of reference on how to say goodbye; there's no such thing as a perfect exit. People will leave, people will die, life will move on, all the cliches you need are within this film.
However, I will give credit where it is due, the idea is a spectactular rough draft. The parallels are cut and dry, to the point, but rather cringy once you realize as the main charater goes through the 'i hate life :(' and self destructive path we ALL eventually stumble upon. Well, actually, maybe this script should have stayed in the 'accidental brainstorm manifestation' column.
The generation that feeds on dopamine inducing leisures and that crave originality as a substitute for self esteem will call this a masterpiece.
Watch it i guess, there's no light at the end of this film's tunnel. There are plenty more examples of this movie's core 'message'
