The most awful thing ever. Wanted escapism. Got a long lecture on feminism, death, maybe suicide. Ugh. Cute cast, superb costumes and set. Lousy, dated script. Just bizarre. I would likely NOT take kids 3-10. Nope.

This was a rather enchanting movie. I am not sure that it speaks to men as well as it speaks to a 60ish year old woman. early in the movie some scenes were muddled but the film redeemed itself in the last 40 minutes. Lush costumes and cinematography. Timeless themes about the intelligence of women and the choices we make in love and life.
