When you force "IT", your show doesn't matter anymore. I was only interested in this because of the btas stylization, but wouldn't you know it, all my expectations came true, and they were low. Penguin is apparently female, the Gordon's are now black, and Harvey dent is the "stereotypical" immoral white guy. The same guy that was all about justice is now all about scoring political points for his bid for mayor. Barbara Gordon is now a public defense attorney or criminal defense attorney. Oh, and she works with bats. Wasn't that Harvey and Com Gordon's job? And the penguin is a cabaret singer. Typical "white man bad, we have to force IT" narrative. Ten minutes into the first episode. Maybe it gets better, but, really, this is an amazon prime show, so I'm not going to hold my breath out of fear that I might suffocate. I guess the silver lining here is that it doesn't have SBI's involvement.

Ten minutes in and I've heard five different hip hop songs. No variety in the soundtrack. But, my thing is is, if you need to blast the days most popular form of music literally every sixty seconds in a two hour movie, your story is probably weak. Juice featuring Tupac didnt place so much emphasis on its hip hop soundtrack as this does, which tells you this movie isn't worth the view. Shane, because I love spidey. And I love miles morales' spidey. But, I don't need another notorious big song thrown in my face just for the hell of it.
