This show is ridiculously bad. Charlotte Hope's acting is horrendous. Her fake Spanish accent is LAUGHABLY BAD. Moreover, Nadia Parkes' acting is abysmal and unbearable. Her fake accent is also god-awful and she seems to lack in experience as an actress-- she seems very out of place. Both of them are young so hopefully they will continue to improve, however, their acting coaches need to be fired. Their acting was a disservice to the integrity of the show. Also the historical inaccuracy of the show is BAFFLING. terrible show. do not watch.

This movie traumatized me as a child it was incredibly upsetting and confusing— almost like a fever dream. Do not show your kids this movie.

As a christian, I don't understand why other people are getting so offended by the portrayal of corruption within the church because it is a real offense that has occurred in the past (and less popularly, but still unfortunately, occurs in religious institutions.) Obviously, not all Christians are corrupt and evil by any means, but the juxtaposition of purity and morality with evilness and perversion is a theme that is important to underscore. It is important to acknowledge the corruption within institutions to prevent them from occurring in the modern era. Some people also do not like Pattinson's acting. I think he is brilliant in this film. Every time he was on screen I was captivated by him. He gave a helluva performance that I think is often overlooked-- he is super talented. The plot was a bit messy but overall I think it was an interesting watch. Definitely not for the weaker stomached.

I thought that the show was a typical case of miscasting. I was very excited for the show given that I am fascinated by Ancient Rome but was incredibly disappointed. One of the worst elements of the show is Nadia Parkes’ acting, for she was not at all the right actress to cast for this role. Parkes’ acting was painfully awkward and stiff, so naturally, I was relieved when Kasia took over because I thought Kasia was a much better portrayal of the character and her acting was much more impressive to me. Even still, her accent was very off putting and created a disconnect between young and old Livia. Minus the accent, her acting was significantly better. The show in general seems a bit too much like a knock off game of thrones and was not as historically accurate as I hoped. Overall, the show was very cheesy and had poor casting choices.

Disgusting and cringeworthy. This should not even be a film it’s incredibly offensive.
