I was eagerly waiting for Kino to come out triumphantly and gain prosperity, but alas! Steinbeck disappointed me just as the good people will always be disappointed by the reality of the evil world. I can say I love the book so much, though written long ago, the story carries contemporary themes and experiences across the world. What a work!
