It's been 25 years and I still love this show. I remember watching it with my Black Student Union in College in my dorm. These were the best of times. Never knew how much of an impact the show would have on our lives. I wish them all well and hope they know they touched and changed so many young college students. I now plan to share it with my college-age kids!!

I will keep it brief. I loved that the show taught us that singing gospel music was a difficult challenge to alot of the participants and showcased how much hard work it takes to sing gospel music. I cried at Jesus Loves me and got mad when they talked about cutting Elana and Jordan. I guess they pulled us in from episode one. I was disappointed in the finale concert. I guess I expected to be blown out of my house after all this emotion. Also I didn't feel all the shaking the tree was necessary after hearing the final product. It gave me grade school triggers of being the last to be picked for dodgeball. Hopefully those who didn't get chosen are still singing and using their gifts.

I wish HGTV would go back to their original formats with organizaiton shows and less home flipping shows. I also miss DIY tv.
