Animation is great. Shame that the protagonists are shallow and narcissistic while giving a middle finger to the fan base. Had this series stood on it's own feet with strong female leads, things may have been different and more likely welcomed by fans. There many examples of strong female lead characters that are well developed and heroic, this show has neither. Kevin Smith has always had an ego that he can do no wrong and his recent comments towards fans is an example of someone disconnected from reality and blaming others for his own missteps. To quote Teela from the original series, "All of us make mistakes, but when you realise what you have done, don't lie about it.. admitting you are wrong takes courage."
