Fred and I started a friendship while he was on a return flight from India in 1960. He kindly invited me to visit his family at their home He showed great respect for his mom, making sure she was comfortable sitting in a chair in their home. He explained that she was not used to sitting in chairs. Fred and I continued our conversation where he taught. When we returned to their home mom was still sitting in the chair. Hopi women are highly respected for being clan leaders. I haven't found the book yet, but I would like to complete our friendship.
