Steven Universe focuses on young Steven Universe, who is half-human and half alien species Gem, under the care and supervision of the Crystal Gems, comprising Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl. Steven spends his days training to master the magical powers inherited from his mother, former Crystal Gem leader Rose Quartz, helping his friends and family work through their struggles and emotions, and discovering who he wants to be. As the series evolves, Steven wounds up using his experiences to stop the reignited invasion of the rest of Gem-kind, Homeworld, who the Crystal Gems defected from and fought against centuries ago. This is a great show that tackles deep themes, strong emotions, and representation wonderfully, has a very memorable and diverse cast of characters, and has a very interesting plot and story. The show has excellent, iconic, and easily recognizable music, both instrumental and sung, and the same goes for its background art. Side episodes are almost never a miss and are always entertaining due to the charm, execution, pacing, and general up-beat nature of the show. The voice acting is nothing out of the ordinary, but still serves the show well. The protagonist is fun and interesting due to his cooperation with the plot as opposed to many protagonists that, while well-written, get old the more you get to know them. He works with the plot rather than causing or driving it, allowing his development and arc to be the focal point of his character. The rest of the cast all shine in their own unique ways and get balanced spotlight and attention throughout the show. They all have equally interesting arcs and are sure to appeal to you in someway.

Great show!! As everyone is saying, it takes place after the Tangled movie. While many people are saying it ties in, that's not exactly true. It's pretty independent story-wise, although it does stay faithful to the source material. The original voice actors for Rapunzel and Eugene reprise their roles, and we get some really amazing talent for new main characters Cassandra, Lance, and Varian. I, myself, do not remember the plot of the movie or, really, anything about it, and Tangled: the Series was still a great watch! Most people here are recommending the show to Disney or Tangled fans, but I'd say anyone who loves plot-driven, emotional family-friendly cartoons would love it! If you're a fan of plot-driven cartoons such as Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, Amphibia, etc. then you'll love this! The songs are phenominal by the way.

I would recommend this out of all the Mario and Luigi games. It's the best according to lots of fans including me. The basic plot is Fawful (the second antagonist from the first game) gives Bowser a mushroom that causes him to suck up Mario, Luigi, Peach, the Toads, and Starlow (a star sprite representative) into his body. The rest of the population was given the Blorbs disease. Fawful and his assistant Midbus take over Peach and Bowser's castles and Bowser is determined to get his back and stop Fawful. The Mario Bros. must also help from the inside as Bowser has several body issues throughout the game. Bowser has most of the 3-D spotlight in the overworld, while the Bros. take on puzzles and minigames to revive his body in a 2-D state. The Bros. do get chances to enter the 3-D overworld towards the games middle-ish parts, but not for that long (maybe like 3 story points). The game uses Sprite animation. For those who don't know this, Sprite animation is like the original Super Mario Bros., though most of it now days is WAY more detailed and looks like a real living thing. The game is mainly focused on it's story but also it's turn based, timing correctly, RPG battle system. Both the Bros. and Bowser have lots of varied attacks. From jumps, to hammers, to fire breathing. They both have special attacks called Bros. attacks (M&L) and Brawl attacks (Bowser). Mario and Luigi do neat tricks with each other using items and Bowser orders his minions to do things. If your not a fan of the animation I would check out the remake titled "Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey". It has updated, shaded, and more detailed graphics. In fact, the first game was remade like this and the 4th and 5th (last one) already are like this (R.I.P the second game lol).It also adds a new side to the story with a different, group associated battle system exclusive to that mode. The new story follows Bowser's son, Bowser Jr as he journeys the Mushroom Kingdom. There are certain cutscenes and battles that trigger 3-D model animation in the remake as well!!! I highly recommend this game play it please!!! (more preferably the original for reasons other reviewers below or above me can better explain). Play the rest of the series if your interested too!!! May I also add the AMAZING soundtrack!!! It is AWESOME!!! My personal favorites are the tracks that play when you are in an area. Not only that, but the variations of the area tracks that play when you are inside Bowser. Those tracks are DOPE.
