Wow. Not a good wow. I chose this movie based on the trailer raves. People commenting this be the next Star Wars type movie. Ha! Not even close. I didn't know it was based on a book till I watched the movie and you could just "tell." "Tell" if you read the book you knew what was going on.....but I didn't. I felt clueless on what was happening during half the movie. I felt there should have been more character developments. Maybe this would've helped me understand more. Also a couple things to point out. I've made short films for college...there are too many scenes of the characters getting on a plane, then getting off the plane, only to get on another plane, or walking to the plane, or just serious dramatic face/stances with unruly dramaticly loud music. It was so bad I started to count 😓. I gave it a 2. Maybe if I read the book I would enjoy it more, but the point of the film should be I shouldn't have to or would make me want to read the book. The acting and the overall scenes were good.
