Awful. Rowan Atkinson is wooden, brings not a scrap of personality to the character. After seeing the earlier versions of Maigret, first with Rupert Davies and later with Michael Gambon, I can't help but compare this dismal offering by Atkinson with the other great actors. What is he (Atkinson) trying to do? Whatever it is, it fails. Thumbs right down.
