I was honestly surprised at how well done these first three episodes are. First, you do not have to have any experience with the game or franchise to enjoy this show. The show is very much it's own narrative, and while some of the characters are based on the game, you won't need any game knowledge to understand the story or the characters and their motivations. The art and voice acting are amazing. The music is a nice blend of original, period-influenced an contemporary. The title sequence and music is very well done. I think the story is safe and familiar ground, but the dialogue is clever and written to be true to the characters.
I had low expectations going in, but I have been surprised and enjoyed it thoroughly. I look forward to new episodes dropping.
