This story deserves more than just box office collections. Its a piece of history of the Golden Period of Indian Football they captured and portrayed in a movie. Brilliant direction, flawless execution, emotional roller coaster and a fantastic win in the end. Football for Bengalis is not a sport. Its an emotion, devotion and passion. Forgive me for my naivety, but I refuse to understand why this movie cannot win an Oscar. Big Big Congratulations to the whole Team of Maidaan. Beautiful piece of work. Loved it. 5/5 stars

Brilliant star cast. Very Weak story line. Could not understand why the movie was made in the first place. Should have had a strong story behind it.
