Could have been a very interesting film with the plot in hand, but ended up being a very ordinary film.
Positives
Acting wise Prasannah and Arun has really pulled off. Prasannah’s presence provides the strong narcotic vibe in the film.
The film was shot beautifully and music has given a fresh feel.
Making, editing looked sharp.
Negatives
The film lacked the detailing. The characters never stood in our mind. For instance they could have given a better introduction on the thalaivasal Vijay on why he is doing social activism, what was he doing for living and what happened to his family. But the narration was very blunt and his death never caused any impact to the audience. The warehouse could have been introduced with some context on how much of worth of narcotics is dealt there to give us more reason why prasannah was angry. Because we couldn’t feel why such a big guy wants his drugs back.
The dialogues was poor. it felt blunt as well and it never provides impact on the urgency of the situation. In other words it felt childish conversation but not felt like police officers talk.
The length of the movie was 1hr 45 mins in USA and not sure if this is the case around the world. Most of the scenes was shown in slow motion and it felt as though the content was there was just 1 hr and it highlights again lack of content.
Logical mistakes are horrible.
For example- In a residential area, how can no resident showed up after the shoot out. Aruns superior house looked so rich for such a straight police officer.
It was not evident on why prasanna wanted to meet Aryan on hotel he could have simply denied as he had everything under control
It’s unbelievable that Arun remembered about the message sent by thalaivasal Vijay next day after his murder for such a sharp intelligent officer.
