It’s a remake of a 2004 movie that stayed in 2004. The whole time I sat through this I was so annoyed at how bad the dialog was and how there is ZERO chemistry with any of the characters. I was supposed to feel some sort of way about the son but since he was on screen for a total of 5 mins, in the middle of the movie, I couldn’t get behind H’s motivation. The only reason I even know the guys name was H is because it’s so on the nose for hero. The hero wasn’t likable at all and not in a anti hero vigilante way. He had no emotions at all, no struggle, every situation had an immediate resolution. It was so dull to watch. The action scenes were subpar. Just run of the mill point and shoot. No interesting camera angles or view points or shots. The end wasn’t even satisfy when hero gets his revenge. Also the music was awful, it was like this intense suspenseful music for people just having conversations and to me it made the actual suspenseful moments less impactful. If you’re going to do a remake, make it better.
