I have never seen such a more beautiful piece of television than The Crown! The true events this show covers are absolutely breathtaking. Not to mention the actors they choose to play these significant roles. Claire Foy killed it as young Queen Elizabeth during the first two seasons. However, it felt tough to say goodbye to the first cast because we have all become so used to them playing these roles, we can't see anyone else playing them. However, the show's creative team did not disappoint when the second cast, lead by Olivia Coleman as the Queen, took on the same roles. Season 4 was probably the best yet. This began to cover events that most of us remember. My mother and I watched the whole season in one day, and she gave me some side commentary on these events and said that she remembers it well. Overall, Season 4 was stunning. Considering it focused on three important women, Queen Elizabeth, Margaret Thatcher, and Princess Diana. However, Gillian Anderson stole the entire season as Thatcher. I loved how she recreated her voice. I have played clips of her and the real Thatcher and can barely hear a difference. I know for sure she will win an Emmy for this performance and Olivia Coleman for playing the Queen. And yet again, this season marked the end of another great cast. As we all know, Acting legend Imelda Staunton will be the next leading lady. I can't wait to see what the final two seasons with the new cast will have in store. I know the creative team won't disappoint. Overall, if you have Netflix and are looking for something to binge on or pass the time, this is the show!
