I stopped watching all news programs about 10 years ago, when my son, who is now home, was stationed in Iraq as a combat MARINE.
The stories, the fake news, and the misleading information gave this mother sleepless nights and heartache. I watched CNN mostly. My son would tell me, what I was hearing was not at all what was happening and that I needed to stop watching the news; so I did. My son came home mentally and physically wounded the VA had no place for him to care for his mental concerns.
My husband and I spent our entire small savings for a private recovery center, we took months off from work and temporally lived in our fifth wheel camper, to keep his small business a float while he was in recovery ( that was not successful). My husband and I sacrificed much, but we were happy to do whatever we could to get him the help he desperately needed. Too many mothers and fathers would have loved to have been in our shoes. Instead, they were given a flag in remembrance of their child. How sad that made me. So for those mothers and for my son, I did everything humanly possible to help him get stable.
One day I heard someone talking about President TRUMP and what he wanted to do for the veterans....AND HE MADE THOSE CHANGES, for the care of our veterans. My husband and I may not have benefited from those changes, it was after our time; but other veterans and their families will have that assurance, the choice for care, the support of their president.
ALL that to say this... The pandemic has we once again wanting to understand what is happening. I am thankful for Fox News...my eyes are carefully back on the media... PRIMARILY for live Presidential updates and my state's Governor's updates. I want to hear the truth, and I want it straight!!!! I believe that Fox News delivers just that!!! STRAIGHT and FACTUAL!
