I read the book... this ain’t it sis. All the characters feel one dimensional, even FINCH! They didn’t include the bell tower, the fact that everyone thought that Violet saved Finch, they never had the scene in the closet, everything that I wanted from this I did not get. I didn’t even cry. HE NEVER CALLS HER ULTRAVIOLET REMARKEYABLE!!! The actors did not do the characters justice at all. I loved Finch in the books because he was so interesting and different. He would almost be a different person everyday at school, changing his clothes, his attitude, sometimes even his accent. In this movie he was always the same. Now Violet was a huge disappointment in this movie. There was absolutely no character development at all! She spends most of the movie blankly staring in silence. They didn’t even make it a big deal when she got in the car for the first time. I hated the outfits they made her wear, it didn’t feel like Violet at all. The music in this movie felt out of place and weird. Even Violet’s interactions with her parents felt off. They didn’t really make it a point that what Finch did was wrong and selfish, which was the whole point of the book. Idk it just didn’t do it for me.
